Shampoo bottles can be dangerous!!!

We just returned from a 5 hour trip to Urgent Care. This morning we were getting ready for church (and we were even on time) and I was in the shower. AJ was standing outside the shower and singing with me and we were having a ball. So...AJ decided to open the shower door and then slam it. In the process he knocked the brand new bottle of baby shampoo off the door frame and right down on his FACE!! He was screaming bloody murder and so I opened the door figuring that he was just scared but he had blood all over his face. I still had soap and shampoo all over me so I yelled for Kevin...I must have scared him because he was there in a flash. He scooped AJ up and I rinsed really quick. When I jumped out of the shower Kevin said I needed to get dressed quick because we were heading for the hospital. AJ had a laceration on his lip that was pretty deep. We went immediately and ended up waiting in the waiting room forever but finally when we got seen they decided that he would need 1-2 stitches. They gave me a cotton ball with something on it to numb his lip and he screamed bloody murder and fought me. Finally the doctor said to forget that and he would just give him a shot to numb it up once they got him all bound up. They used a "papoose" to wind him up so he could not move. I think that was the worst part for him...he is so active and to be trapped like that freaked him out. Then they gave him the shots in his lip which probably stung and then immediately started the stitches. He ended up with 2 stitches. He screamed so loud and cried so hard that I was ready to cry myself. We have to go back in 4 days to get the stitches out and he is on antibiotics but okay otherwise. When we left the room and walked to the waiting room we had a ton of sympathetic looks from all the people waiting to be seen. Apparently AJ has quite healthy lungs because they had all heard him screaming!!
