Matt will be missed

This week has been a weird one for us. Kevin found out early in the week that a friend of his from school has died. He found out later that Matt had taken his own life after he had some issues that he felt were too big to deal with. We were saddened by this news of course...but spent a lot of time praying for the family as they dealt with their grief. We went to the memorial service today and I found it very hard to sit there in the presence of people that loved Matt so much and see pictures of him with his baby daughter and understand why he felt there were no other options. There were so many hurting people in that room and it broke my heart! I met Matt's mom after the service and could not believe how strong she was...she actually invited everyone to her house after the service for pizza and she was very concerned with how everyone else was doing. Please keep Matt's family and friends in your prayers!
