oh the sickness!

AJ told us yesterday morning that his tummy really hurt but we sent him to daycare anyways thinking that it was possible that he was faking just to get a day at home. When he got to daycare he rolled around on the couch complaining of the pain in his tummy. He ate no breakfast and then by lunch had a fever of 100.2. Kevin left work and brought him home where he just sat on the couch and watched cartoons or slept all afternoon. When I (raced) got home he was asleep with Daddy but happy to come sit on my lap and get his temp taken. Still not too exciting...just 100.1. He did not want to eat but wanted to sip on some Sierra Mist. When I put him to bed he fell right to sleep until 1am!!! Why oh why does everything happen when I want to sleep??? He came in our room and was crying so hard and uncontrollably...I could hardly understand what he was saying. I finally figured out he was sad cuz he had pooped in his underwear. He was afraid he would be in trouble...poor kid! So I explained it was okay because his tummy was so upset and it was called diarrhea. I cleaned him up and he went a little more. I put him back to bed and 1 hour later he woke me again to say he had pooped again. Cleaned him all up and then he said he was going to throw up so I stood him in front of the toilet. He coughed and poop just shot out...he was so upset that he had pooped on the floor (sorry for the disgusting info) I got him on the toilet again and that is basically how our night went. He got up this morning and apparently it was just a short lived bug because he is hungry again and no diarrhea since 4am. His temp is normal again too. He just said to me..."I spit that bug that was in my tummy right out and now I feel better" Boy do I love this kid!!!
