We were driving home from Albany the other day and came upon a field fire. The Willamette Valley (where we live) is the grass seed capital of the world so grass fields are all around us. They are in the process of harvesting these fields. This particular farmer had taken a 4 wheeler out into the field to check on the grass and the 4 wheeler caught fire...well that caused the entire field to go up in flames...it ended up closing a section of Route 20 and brought about a half dozen local fire depts out to fight the fire...it destroyed 2 fields (acres and acres) and tried to cross the road. It also burned some trees that were bordering the 2 fields. AJ thought it was amazing and still talks about HIS field that burned!
