Mother's Day 2007

I really love days like today....I have smiled all day and just loved every second! I woke up this morning to AJ tickling me and saying "Wake up Mommy...I have a present for you!" He was very excited to give me a present and hug and kiss me...how could I not wake up with a smile on my face? I opened my gift and was happy to see that I got perfect gifts for me...nothing I would have asked for but I love them! I got a king size air mattress that can be made into 2 twin size mattresses (I can't wait to use it when we go camping-a lot-this summer) and a great CD of country artists...it is a great CD and we have listened to it all afternoon. Kevin made me breakfast and then we got ready for church. We got to church just in time to see our friends Cynthia and Eric have their children (Katie and Logan) dedicated. It was a wonderful time because they have tried for so long to be parents and to see them up there thanking God for the gifts of their children and dedicating them to God was just amazing---yes I cried...of course!!! The babies then joined us in the crying room and we all loved that! We then took Mary Ann to Applebees for an early lunch and enjoyed a great time where AJ loved his food (so rare) and he actually pee'd in the potty! We left from there and came home for a short nap...empasis on the short part! :-) We then spent some time in the yard and cleaning out my car....we really needed to do that! We took the car to the car wash for a good vacuuming and then off for a ride in the mountains. We stopped at the lake and threw rocks in the lake and enjoyed all of God's beauty around us...Oregon is just such a great place to enjoy the beauty that God created! We grabbed some subs on the way home for dinner and plan on watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition as a family to round out our great day! Overall I am feeling truly blessed to have a loving husband who made sure to show me how much he appreciates the job I do with AJ and an awesome son that is starting to understand how to show appreciation to those he loves!
